Commvault supports backup and restore for Incus KVM-based virtual machines. Review the supported versions, resources, storage configurations, and data protection operations before you configure Incus protection.
What's supported
Incus versions
Commvault supports Incus 7.2 and later with Commvault 11.46.
Virtual machines
Commvault supports Incus KVM-based virtual machines.
Storage pools
Commvault supports the following Incus storage pools:

Local LVM

Local ZFS
-
LVM Cluster
-
Ceph RBD
Storage volume content types
For storage volumes, Commvault supports the block content type.
Backup and restore
You can use Commvault to:

Back up Incus KVM-based virtual machines.

Restore individual guest files from a virtual machine backup.

Restore a complete virtual machine in place.
-
Restore a complete virtual machine out of place to another supported destination.
What's not supported
The following Incus resources and configurations aren't supported:

Incus containers.

Storage volumes that use the
filesystemcontent type. Commvault skips these volumes during backup. -
Storage volumes that use the
ISOcontent type. Commvault skips these volumes during backup.
