Configure an Incus credential with the access required for backup and restore operations. Commvault uses the credential to authenticate with the Incus environment.
Credential requirements
When you configure the Incus hypervisor, you can select an existing Incus credential or create a credential.
To create an Incus credential, have the following information available:

Certificate thumbprint: The thumbprint for the certificate used to authenticate with the Incus environment.

Private key: The private key associated with the certificate.

Private key password (optional): The password for the private key.
Commvault uses the credential to authenticate with the Incus REST API.
Permission requirements
The credential must provide access to the Incus operations required for backup and restore.
Configure the credential with permissions to:

Read virtual machine configuration information.
-
Access virtual machine disks for backup operations.
-
Create virtual machines during restore operations.
-
Replace an existing virtual machine when the restore configuration permits it.
When you configure the Incus hypervisor in Commvault, select this credential for the Incus environment.
