The reserve space on HyperScale mount path can be modified.
Procedure
-
From the CommCell Browser, expand to Storage Resources | Storage Pools | <Storage Pool> | Storage | <Disk Library> | <Mount Path>.
-
Right-click the appropriate mount path, and then click Properties.
The Mount Path Properties dialog box is displayed.
-
From the Allocation Policy tab, click the Reserve Space box and type the value.
By default the reserve space is set to 40 TB or 4% (whichever is smaller) of the total capacity of the mount path. This can be increased if needed to act as a reminder of when to expand your storage pool. Setting it to a lower value is not recommended as it will impact the performance on jobs running to and from the mount path.
-
Click OK.
Result
When the reserve space falls below the established threshold, the mount paths in the HyperScale storage poolHyperScale Reference Architecture is marked offline. In addition the system logs a message in the Event Viewer and generates the Insufficient Storage Alert, if configured.
