To set up Silk Software Defined Cloud Storage (Azure), review system requirements, and then add the array in the Commvault software. Then you can modify the snapshot properties.
Procedure
-
Verify that your environment meets the Systems Requirements for Silk Software Defined Cloud Storage (Azure).
-
Configure the array in the array software before configuring the array on the Commvault software. See Configuring Silk Software Defined Cloud Storage (Azure) on the array software
-
On Commvault software, add and configure Silk Software Defined Cloud Storage (Azure).
Silk Software Defined Cloud Storage (Azure) is now ready to operate.
-
Choose one of the supported agents for Silk Software Defined Cloud Storage (Azure).
-
When you run the first snapshot backup operation, a retention policy is created. The Commvault software creates the retention policy in Silk Software Defined Cloud Storage (Azure), named as CV__CommvaultIntelliSnap, and then sets this retention policy to retain snapshots as long as possible. Do not change this retention policy.
