Create a Storage Resource Pool

A storage resource pool is a set of infrastructure settings, such as region and MediaAgent group, that enables tenant admins to create bundled storage plans.

Note: Storage resource pools support mapping multiple storage regions to a single MediaAgent region in a single resource pool.

Procedure

  1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Infrastructure.

    The Infrastructure page appears.

  2. Click the Resource pools tile.

    The Resource pools page appears.

  3. In the upper-right area of the page, click Add > Storage.

The Add Storage resource pool dialog box appears.

  4. In the Name box, enter a name for the storage resource pool.

  5. From the MediaAgent Group list, select a MediaAgent group that contains the MediaAgents for the target regions.

For more information about creating a MediaAgent group, see adding server groups by using manual association.

  6. From the Select vendor list, select Amazon Web Services.

  7. In the Supported Regions section, click Add + to add a region mapping:

  8. Storage region: From the list, select the desired storage region.

  9. MediaAgent Region: From the list, select the MediaAgent region to be used during storage provisioning for the selected storage region.

  10. (Optional) Repeat this step to add additional region mappings to the pool.

  11. Click Save.
