Performing File System Backups

Back up your file system data.

Procedure

  1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Files.

    The file servers Overview page appears.

  2. On the Files tab, click the file server.

    The file server page appears.

  3. Under Subclients, in the Actions column for the subclient, click the action button action_button, and then click Back up.

    The Select backup level dialog box appears.

  4. For Backup level, select the backup type.

  5. Optional: To receive Email and CommCell Console alert notifications when the backup operation completes, select the When the job completes, notify me via email check box.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Optional: To view the list of items that failed to backup, click the count of failed folders and files.

  8. Optional: To view the job details, click the job ID.

  9. Click OK.
