Ports

For snaphot operations, open port 443 (HTTPS) for communication between the NetApp server and the Commvault Cloud control plane and data plane.

Snapshot names

Default configuration

  • Naming convention: SP_CommCellID_JobID_SMSnapID_Timestamp.

    • SP: A constant value.

    • CommCellID: A unique identifier assigned to your Commvault Cloud installation.

    • JobID: Unique identifier for the snapshot backup job.

    • SMSnapID: The snapshot ID created by the Commvault Cloud software.

    • Timestamp: The UNIX timestamp.

  • Example: SP_2_8789_6060_1421709619

When snapshots are grouped

  • Naming convention: SP_CommCellID_JobID_Timestamp

    • SP: A constant value

    • CommCellID: A unique identifier assigned to your Commvault Cloud installation.

    • JobID: Unique identifier for the snapshot backup job
