Configuring an Access Node for VMware

You can configure an access node directly, without configuring a workload.

Procedure

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Infrastructure.

2. Click the Access nodes tile, and then click Add.

3. From the Vendor list, select VMware vCenter.

4. Click the package to download for the platform: Linux (64-bit) or Windows (64-bit).

   • For Windows, copy the downloaded package to a server or VM, and perform an interactive installation.

   • For deploying the Linux OVA template using vCenter, see Deploying an On-Premises Linux Backup Gateway for VMware or Deploying a Linux Access Node for VMware.

5. Copy the provided Auth code, as it will be required during the installation.
