Perform a Test Backup and Restore of the DB2 MultiNode Instance

To verify that the DB2 MultiNode instance is set up correctly, perform a test backup and restore.

Back Up the Instance

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The database Overview page appears.

2. On the Instances tab, in the row for the instance, click the action button , and then click Backup.

   The Backup options dialog box appears.

3. Select the backup level.

4. If you select Create a backup copy immediately checkbox, select one of the following options as per the requirement:

   • Start a backup copy job based on storage policy rules

   • Start a backup copy job with the current job

5. Click Submit.

Restore the Instance

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The database Overview page appears.

2. On the Instances tab, in the row for the instance, click the action button , and then click Restore.

   The Backup content dialog box appears.

3. Select the backup, and then click Restore.

   The Restore options dialog box appears.

4. Perform In place or Out of place restore.

5. Click Submit.
