Browsing Backup Content of GaussDB (DWS)

You can browse the backup content of GaussDB (DWS) from either backup set level or instance level.

Using browse, you can identify the data or nodes that have been backed up. You can also identify the time of data backup, and the kind of data a file contains.

The browse content lists the file backed up from each data node.

Browse Backup Content at Instance Level

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

    The database overview page appears.

  2. Click the Instance tab.

    The list of instance is displayed.

  3. Click the instance for which you need to browse backup content.

    The instance overview page appears.

  4. In the Recovery points section, click the dates on which backup or restore jobs are run.

  5. Click RESTORE.

    The Backup Content page appears which displays the browse content list.

Browse Backup Content at Backup Set Level

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

    The database overview page appears.

  2. Select the Instance tab.

    The list of instances appears.

  3. Select an instance.

    The instance page appears.

  4. Click the Backup Sets tab.

    The backup set page appears.

  5. In the Recovery points section, click the dates on which backup or restore jobs are run.

  6. Click RESTORE.

    The Backup Content page appears which displays the browse content list.
