For some Virtualization workloads, the Commvault software backs up only the most recent full snapshot and the most recent incremental snapshot of a VM group.
The Virtualization workloads are as follows:

Azure
-
Google Cloud Platform
-
Hyper-V
-
Nutanix
-
VMware
For all other Virtualization workloads, the Commvault software backs up snapshots as specified by the retention settings for the backup copy in the server plan that is assigned to the VM group.
