Viewing the Greenplum Database System Configuration Used in the Last Backup

When the Commvault software performs a backup, it discovers the Greenplum database system so that it can determine what servers contain the data to include in the backup.

You can use this procedure to view the segment servers that were used for the last backup.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > Greenplum.

  2. Right-click the instance and then click Properties.

    The Instance Properties dialog box is displayed.

  3. On the Details tab, view the information:

    Column

    Description

    Node

    The Greenplum master or segment host name.

    Present Status

    The segment host state, up or down.

    Current Role

    The segment host role.

    The Commvault software only backs up the primary instance.

    Address

    The address that the segment host is listening on for the specified Greenplum Database system.

  4. Click OK to close the Instance Properties dialog box.
