Before you install the Exchange Mailbox Agent, make sure that your environment meets the prerequisites.

The service account must be a member of the Local Administrator Group on the access node servers.

Make sure that port 25 is open on the ContentStore Mail Server (SMTP) access nodes for receiving messages from all mail servers.

Make sure that port 1430 is open on all the ContentStore Mail Server (SMTP) access nodes from the CommServe, to access the ContentStore Mail Server (SMTP) Dashboard.

If you restore messages as PST, you must install Microsoft Outlook on the access node that is the restore destination. In this case, the Microsoft Outlook license is not required.
Note
Microsoft Outlook 2016 is supported for restore to PST and MSG options only.

In order to journal mail from Exchange Online, you must assign a public ip address and port 25 should be open on all the ContentStore mail server access nodes.
