The Maintenance Release contains all the hotfixes for this feature release, up to and including the Platform Release/Feature Release/Maintenance Release numbers that are included in the package file name.
Example: Maintenance Release Package File Names
For example, in the following maintenance release package file name, 11_26_22 represents Platform Release 11, Feature Release 26, and Maintenance Release 22:
- Commvault_Maintenance_11_26_22_winX64.exe
A new maintenance release is available every month.
Note
Beginning June 15, 2022, feature releases are released every six months, and are named "Commvault Platform Release", followed by the year. Long-Term Support (LTS) releases are appended with an "E" (for "Extended"). For example:

The June 15, 2022 release (LTS) is named Commvault Platform Release 2022E (11.28).

The December 15, 2022 release (not LTS) is named Commvault Platform Release 2023 (11.30).

The June 15, 2023 release (LTS) is named Commvault Platform Release 2023E (11.32).
Downloading and Installing Maintenance Releases
You must download the maintenance release package on the CommServe computer and then use the CommCell Console to install the hotfixes on all the clients.

Note
There are intermediate maintenance release versions that may contain updates for specific use cases. These versions are not released on Commvault Store. You must download these versions only when advised by Customer Support.
