Perform a Test Backup and Restore of the Oracle Instance

To verify that the Oracle instance is set up correctly, perform a test backup and restore.

Back Up the Instance

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The Instances page appears.

2. In the row for the instance, click the action button , and then click Back up.

3. Select a subclient that you want to back up, and then click Select.

   The Select backup level dialog box appears.

4. Click OK.

Restore the Instance

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The Instances page appears.

2. In the row for the instance, click the action button , and then click Restore.

   The Backup content dialog box appears.

3. Select the Name check box, and then click Restore.

   The Restore options dialog box appears.

4. Click the In place tab.

5. Click Submit.
