Configuring Deployment of the VMware Image in an Offline CommCell Environment

You can download a VMware image file (.OVA package) so that users can deploy a VMware FREL or Linux access node from the Command Center in an offline environment.

Procedure

  1. Download the Access Node and MediaAgent (FREL) OVA file for your appropriate Commvault release.

  2. Save the Access Node and MediaAgent (FREL) OVA file directly on your primary access node as defined on the Hypervisor client within its configuration tab.

  3. On your primary access node where the OVA file is located, configure the additional setting FrelOvaLocation and enter the location of the Access Node and MediaAgent (FREL) file in the Value box.

    For example, enter C:\OVA\FREL_VMWare_v1.ova

  4. After configuring the additional setting, complete the following deployment procedure: Deploying a VMware File Recovery Enabler for Linux.
