Configuring the INFINIDAT Storage Array Using Array Management

For IntelliSnap backups from Commvault software, add the INFINIDAT storage array and its configuration information to the CommServe database.

Procedure

1. On the ribbon in the CommCell Console, click the Storage tab, and then click Array Management.

   The Array Management dialog box appears.

2. Click Add.

   The Array Properties dialog box appears.

3. Click the General tab.

4. From the Snap Vendor list, select INFINIDAT.

5. In the System Name box, enter the system name from the INFINIBOX.

6. In the Management Interface box, enter a fully qualified domain name or the Management IP address of the array.

7. In the Credentials area, click Change.

   The Enter the User Name and Password dialog box appears.

   1. Do one of the following:

      • Type the credentials of a user who has admin privileges or pool admin privileges, and the pool admin must have privileges to manage the pool of the source volume.

      • For Active Directory (AD) users, enter the username and password of a user that belongs to the AD group added on the storage array, with admin or pool admin privileges.

   2. Click OK.

8. If you are going to use the NFS protocol, complete the following steps:

   1. On the Snap Configuration tab, add all NAS service IPs in the Array Host Alias snapshot configuration property, and then click OK.

9. To configure additional MediaAgents to perform operations on the storage array, click the Array Access Nodes tab, and then select configuration options.

10. Click OK.
