You can enable Compliance lock or Indelible compliance lock in Commvault using the following procedure.
Before You Begin
To view and enable the Indelible compliance lock option, you must add the showIndelibleComplianceLock additional setting.
Procedure

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Storage > Cloud.
The Cloud page appears.

Click the cloud storage for which you want to configure WORM storage mode.
The cloud storage page appears.

On the Configuration tab, in the Immutability section, move the Compliance lock toggle key to the right.
The Do you want to enable Compliance lock? dialog box appears.

(Optional) To permanently prevent the lock from being disabled, even by Commvault Support, select the Indelible compliance lock check box.

Select the option to confirm your agreement. If you selected Indelible compliance lock, type
Enable indelible compliance lockin the confirmation box. -
Click YES.

Reports: You can view the lock status in the Storage and Compliance lock details report and check the Audit trail report for blocked attempts to lower retention or delete jobs.

Views: You can add the Immutability column to the copies grid on a plan's Storage tab, and the Immutable column to the Jobs list to verify the immutability status.
Warnings
-
Inheritance: Compliance lock is enabled on all destination copies associated with the compliance-locked storage.

Irreversible Action: Enabling Indelible compliance lock is strictly irreversible. You cannot lower the retention period, delete jobs manually, or delete associated storage or copies.

If you want to disable a standard compliance lock (not indelible) for a disk storage, you must contact Commvault support and obtain the authorization code.
