Setup in Amazon RDS for SQL Server

In Amazon RDS for SQL Server, configure the native backup and restore option and assign the permissions policy to the IAM role. And, if you don't want to use the master account, create a non-master account.

Before You Begin

Review the limitations provided by AWS for integrating AWS RDS for SQL server DB instance with Amazon S3.

Procedure

  1. Configure the native backup and restore option.

  2. Assign the permissions policy to the IAM role.

  3. If you don't want to use the master account to back up the Amazon RDS for SQL Server instance, create a non-master account.
