The Linux-based bare metal image of the CommServe allows users to deploy the CommServe without the need for additional OS licensing costs. You can use the bare metal image to deploy a new CommServe as a primary or standby server. When deployed, Commvault will be responsible for the software image components, including the provided Operating System, and the Commvault software.
The bare metal image supports all existing security features, including ransomware protection. The image also supports CommServe Live Sync for high availability.
To review the hardware requirements and components required to deploy the bare metal image of the CommServe, contact the HyperScale Product team.
