To improve the backup and restore performance of SharePoint Online, Commvault has improved index server capabilities for data protection and recovery. The new index server provides distributed indexing and search capabilities making indexing and querying faster. With this improvement, you can configure the SharePoint Online easily by eliminating the need for creation of multiple subclients.
Throttling
To overcome the effects of throttling and to improve performance during backups, we recommend using one Azure app and at least 2 streams.
