Overriding the Hostname While Configuring the Firewall

You can override the hostname while configuring a firewall.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computer Groups, right-click the client_group, and then click Properties.

    The Client Group Properties dialog box appears.

  2. Click Network.

    The Network Properties dialog box appears.

  3. On the Network Route Configuration dialog box, select the Configure Network Route Settings check box, and then click Advanced.

  4. Click OK to acknowledge the warning and continue.

  5. On the Outgoing Routes tab, click Add.

    The Route Settings dialog box appears.

  6. From the Remote Group/Client list, select a CommServe computer.

  7. Select Port Forwarding as the Route Type.

  8. In the Port Forwarder Hostname field, enter the IP address of the NIC that is reachable from the client.

  9. In the Port Forwarder Tunnel Port field, enter the tunnel port on the CommServe computer.

  10. Click OK.
