Stub Recall Using the File Share Archiver Client or Driver for File Archiver

You can use either the File Share Archiver Client or the Driver for File Archiver to recall a stub.

Procedure

  1. Log on to a client computer where File Share Archiver Client or the Driver for File Archiver is installed.

  2. Make sure that the client computer has UNC access to the stub on the file server, or has a mapped network drive to the share.

  3. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder containing the stub.

  4. Double-click a stub.

    Note

    • It may take a few minutes for the recovered file to appear once you double-click its stub.

    • You cannot recall a stub if the File Share Archiver Client or the Driver for File Archiver is installed on a computer pointing to a different CommServe computer than the one that was initially used to create the stub.

  5. The file opens in its associated application.
