Running Synthetic Full Backup Jobs

Synthetic full backup jobs can be started manually, scheduled to occur at regular intervals, or scheduled to occur automatically.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Console, expand Client Computers > client > File System > defaultBackupSet.

2. Right click subclient > Backup.

3. In the Backup Options window, under Select Backup Type select Synthetic Full.

4. Under Job Initiation, select Immediate.

5. Click OK.

   You can track the progress of the backup job in the Job Controller. When the backup has completed, the Job Controller displays a status of Completed for it.
