Restoring with the Network Share IntelliSnap Backup for CIFS Shares

You can use the restore operation to restore the data back to the point in time when the backup was performed.

Before You Begin

CIFS subclient user must have rights to read/write to the local path of the proxy computer.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > NAS client > file system agent > backup set.

  2. Right-click a subclient, point to All Tasks, and then click Browse and Restore.

  3. On the Browse and Restore dialog box , click View Content.

  4. Select the data that you want to restore, and click Recover All Selected.

    The Restore Options for All Selected Items dialog box appears.

  5. If you are restoring to a UNC path from an infinite volume to a non-infinite volume, select Restore Data Only to avoid access permission denied.

  6. Clear the Restore to same folder check box, and then specify the destination path or click Browse to choose a destination path.

  7. If you are restoring to a UNC path, select the Impersonate NT User check box. Then, enter the following information:

    1. In the User Account box, type a user name.

    2. In the Password box, type a password.

    3. In the Confirm Password box, type the same password.

  8. Click OK.
