Promoting a Synchronous Copy to Primary Copy

You can promote a synchronous copy to primary copy.

Note

You cannot promote a synchronous copy that is associated with tape storage to a primary copy.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Browser, go to Policies > Storage Policies.

  2. Right-click the synchronous copy, and then click Properties.

    The Storage Policy Copy Properties dialog box appears.

  3. On the General tab, select the Primary Copy check box.

  4. Click OK.
