Modifying the Deduplication Properties for a Storage Policy Copy

You can change the deduplication properties for the storage policy copy.

Alternatively, you can modify deduplication properties on a storage policy copy by using the Update_DDB_Settings.xml configuration file, which contains parameters that define the storage policy copy. For more information, see Modifying Deduplication Options using XML.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Policies > Storage Policies > storage_policy.

2. Right-click the appropriate storage policy copy and then click Properties.

3. In the Copy Properties dialog box, click the Deduplication tab and choose how you want to modify the deduplication database (DDB) settings.

   • To modify general settings, click Settings tab.

4. Click OK.
