Known Issues in Version 11

Storage Management

SAN Data Server

Note the following limitations for SAN Data Servers:

  • Non-deduplicated backups are not supported.

  • Multipathing is not supported.

  • A maximum of 100 data streams can be used simultaneously.

  • If the SAN Data Server is restarted, Commvault Services must be restarted on the MediaAgent, and the iSCSI disks must be rediscovered on Windows MediaAgents.

  • In some cases of failure, the Job Pending Reasons (JPR) are inconsistent.

Backup Agents

Salesforce Restore Jobs Are Marked as Completed with Errors When Objects Are Skipped Because of Salesforce Restrictions

When you perform a restore that contains objects that cannot be restored because of Salesforce restrictions, the restore job gets marked as Completed with Errors. Also, even if the object is restorable, some types of the object records are not restorable, the restore job will be marked as CWE.

Salesforce Dependent Object Restores Do Not Automatically Restore Files (base64 content)

When you perform a Salesforce dependent object restore, the software does not automatically restore the base64 content files, for example Attachments.

You must select the file objects in the File view on the Browse page.

Salesforce Restores of Backups That Contain Rich Text Fields May Not Be Accurately Restored to the Salesforce Cloud

The software backs up the Salesforce custom and standard objects that contain rich text field such as images and hyperlinks. When you perform a restore to the Salesforce cloud, the rich text fields may not be able to be accurately restored.

Archiving Agents

Requirements for OnePass for NAS, OnePass for Windows, and File Share Archiver Client

Windows XP 32-bit version or earlier is not supported for OnePass and File Share Archiver clients. Your computer must be Windows XP 64-bit or later to perform archive and recall operations.
