Step 2: Review Prerequisites

Review the following prerequisites for Gmail and Google Drive.

  • You should have a super admin role to create a service account that provides access to user data.

  • The IMAP port of the computer with the Cloud Apps package should be open at port 993.

Opening the IMAP port at 993 is required only for Gmail backup. To back up Google drive files, it is not required to open port at 993.

  1. Open the CommCell Console.

  2. Configure a storage device.

  3. Create a storage policy.

  4. Manually discover user accounts to perform backup operation using the default subclient.

  5. Optional: Configure the search engine to run content indexing operations on Gmail data and Google Drive data.
