Creating User-Defined Subclients

If you need to run different backup jobs on user accounts than the job that is assigned to the default subclient, create a user-defined subclient and assign the user accounts to it.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > Cloud Apps.

  2. Right-click the instance, and then click All Tasks > New Subclient.

  3. In the Create New Subclient dialog box, in the Subclient Name box, type a name for the subclient.

  4. Click the Content tab, and then click Configure.

  5. In the Add/Modify User Accounts dialog box, click Discover.

  6. Add the user account to the subclient.

    • If you want to assign one user account, select the account, and then select the subclient name from the Subclient list.

    • If you want to assign multiple user accounts, select the accounts, and then select the subclient name from the Change all selected accounts to list.

    You must assign at least one user account to the new subclient.

  7. Click OK.

  8. Click the Storage Device tab, and then select the appropriate storage policy from the Storage Policy list.

  9. Click OK.
