Configuring Restartability for a Job Type

By default, restartability is enabled for all job types. The default maximum number of restarts is 10 for all backup jobs and 144 for all restore jobs. The default restart interval is 20 minutes for all backup and restore jobs.

1. From the CommCell Console ribbon, click the Home tab, and then click Control Panel.

2. Under Data, click Job Management.

3. In the Job Management dialog box, click the Job Restarts tab and select a job from the Job Type list.

4. To configure restartability for a job type:

   • To disable, clear the Restartable check box.

   • To enable, select the Restartable check box.

5. The jobs are preempted by default, to disable this feature, clear the Preemptable check box.

6. Click OK.
