The following predefined workflows play a role in the execution of some CommCell solutions. When you click one of the workflows below, they open with the corresponding CommCell solution documentation.
Active Directory Forest Workflow
This workflow automates the restore of Domain Controllers and other system state data in-place to your client computer. For more information, see Restoring Domain Controllers in an Active Directory Forest.
Add MediaAgent to an Existing Global Deduplication Storage Policy
This workflow adds a UNIX MediaAgent library to an existing global deduplication storage policy setup. For more information, see Add MediaAgent to An Existing Global Deduplication Storage Policy Workflow.
Collaborative Shares
This workflow allows end users to create a collaborative share. For more information, see Configuring Collaborative Shares.
CommCell Client Migration by Storage Policy
This workflow automates the migration of the clients based on the storage policies they are associated with. For more information, see CommCell Client Migration by Storage Policy.
CommCell Migration From v9-v10
In case of cross version CommCell migration, the Commvault software supports the migration only from a higher version CommCell environment to a lower version CommCell environment. For example, you can migrate from a v11 CommCell environment to a v10 or v9 CommCell environment, but not vice versa.
However, you can use the CommCell Migration From v9-v10 workflow to migrate the clients from a v9 or a v10 CommCell environment to a v11 CommCell environment. For more information, see Performing CommCell Migration from a Lower Version CommCell Environment to Higher Version CommCell Environment.
CommServe Database Long-Term Archiving
This workflow frees up space in the database. The workflow moves the metadata of the old backup jobs in selected clients to a different CommCell based on specified criteria. The workflow exports the metadata from the source CommCell environment, and then imports the metadata to the destination CommCell environment. CommServe Port Forwarding Gateway Configuration
This workflow allows end users to insert or delete port forwarding gateways on the production CommServe server in order to ensure proper configurations. For more information, see Setting Up a Standby CommServe Using Port Forwarding Gateway Configuration.
Configure Third-Party Connections
This workflow routes third-party traffic (between two clients) through a specific set of network ports. For more information, see Configuring Third-Party Connections Between Client Computers.
Content Index All Subclients
This workflow allows Commcell administrators to content index the subclient data on all Edge Drive and <ObjectStore> clients. For more information, see Enabling Content Indexing.
Create Mount Path Label Files
This workflow creates the label file in a mount path if the file does not exist. You can create the label files in specific mount paths of a library or in all mount paths associated with a MediaAgent. For more information, see Create Mount Path Labels.
DBMaintenance
This workflow performs CommServe database maintenance by using the DBMaintenance utility. For more information, see DBMaintenance Workflow.
DDB Seeding
This workflow transfers the initial baseline backup between two sites using a removable disk drive. For more information, see Seeding a Deduplicated Storage Policy.
Delete V8 Firewall Files from Clients
This workflow deletes Version 8 firewall files from client computers. For more information, see Delete V8 Firewall Files from Clients.
Enable Edge Drive and Shares of Deleted AD User
This workflow allows CommCell administrators to access the Edge Drive and Shares of a deleted Active Directory (AD) user. For more information, see Enable Edge Drive and Shares of Deleted AD User Workflow.
Install Automatically Discovered Applications
This workflow installs the packages and registers the client for clients that have automatically detected applications. For more information, see Installing Automatically Discovered Applications Workflow workflow.
Invite for Commvault Edge
This workflow sends email invitations when you share data to an email address that is available in the CommServe database. For more information, see Invite for Commvault Edge Workflow.
Load Balance Index Servers
This workflow redistributes loads across all Indexing Version 2 index servers in a CommCell in order to achieve optimal distribution of indexes across available disk space. For more information, see Load Balance Index Servers Workflow.
Modify Client Encryption Settings
Use this workflow to modify the encryption settings of one or more clients. For more information, see Predefined Workflow - Modify Client Encryption Settings.
Modify Encryption Settings for All Clients
Use this workflow to modify the encryption settings of all clients. For more information, see Predefined Workflow - Modify Encryption Settings For All Clients.
Modify Storage Policy Copy Encryption Settings

Network Performance Test Tool
The Network Performance Test Tool uses the CvNetworkTestTool GUI workflow to check the bandwidth between client CommCell entities to troubleshoot performance issues. For more information, see Network Performance Test Tool.
Prefetch Tapes for Restore
The Prefetch Tapes for Restore workflow prefetches the exported virtual tapes associated with the jobs that have to be restored. For more information, see Prefetch Tapes for Restore.
