Client Installations

Complete the following tasks to install agents or other Commvault software on Windows and UNIX computers.

  1. Plan the installation.

    Review general guidelines to prepare your environment for the installation. Based on the computer's operating system, review the following topics:

  2. Review the preinstallation checklist.

    For the agent or Commvault software that you want to install, gather the information that you must provide during the installation. For more information, see Preinstallation Checklist for Clients.

  3. Install the software.

    Install the software using either the CommCell Console or the installation package that was created from the Download Manager. For more information, see Installing Commvault on Clients.

  4. Perform postinstallation tasks.

    Review the tasks that you must perform after the installation in Postinstallation Tasks for Clients.
