Configuring the Jive Add-on for ObjectStore

To enable Jive to connect to the ObjectStore external file storage, you must install and configure the add-on for ObjectStore on the Jive instance or community.

Before You Begin

Verify that you have administrator privileges for the Jive community where you want to install the add-on.

Obtain the ObjectStore user name and password from the Commvault administrator.

Procedure

  1. Log on to your Jive community website.
  2. On the Jive community page, click your profile picture at the top-right corner of the page, and then select Add-Ons.
  3. In the Add-Ons tab, select All Add-ons, and then click Upload Package.
  4. Click Browse, and then select the add-on package that you obtained from Commvault cloud services website, and then click Continue. For more information on getting the add-on package from, see Getting the Jive Add-on for ObjectStore.
  5. On the Settings page, click Configure Now...

    The Configure "ObjectStore" window appears.

  6. Enter the ObjectStore user name, password, and the WebService URL for the ObjectStore. Enter the Webservice url in one of the following formats, and then click Login.
    • http://computer.company.com/webconsole/RestServlet
    • http://computer.company.com:81/SearchSvc/CvWebService.svc
  7. Optional: To allow notifications when files are uploaded to the ObjectStore from the Web Console, you must configure Edge Drive alerts from the CommCell Console.
    1. To enable Edge Drive alerts, on the confirmation window, click Yes.
    2. On the Steps to Configure Alert window, note the Jive notification tenant ID. For example, Jive Notification <tenantId_of_Jive_instance>.
    3. Configure the Edge Drive Alert from the CommCell Console.
    4. Click Configure Alert.
    5. On the Login Success window, click Finish.
  8. Click Save and Activate.
  9. Click the Storage Management tab, and then click Add Integration.

    The Add New Integration window appears.

  10. In the Provider Type box,  select ObjectStore.
  11. In the Display Name box, enter a name for the ObjectStore storage, and then click Add.
  12. Click Save.
