Storage Policy Properties

This table provides information about storage policies that are available within the CommCell.

Column

Description

Storage Policy

The storage policy.

Incremental Storage Policy

The incremental storage policy associated with the storage policy. If there is no incremental storage policy, then this cell is blank.

Associated User Groups

The user groups that are associated with the selected storage policy.

Streams

The maximum number of data streams that each copy within this storage policy can simultaneously support.

Randomize Streams

An indication of whether stream randomization is enabled or not.

Disabled for Backup

An indication of whether the storage policy is disabled for backup.

Allow Erase Data

An indication of whether the Allow Erase Data option is enabled.

Content Indexing

An indication of whether content indexing is enabled.

Legal Hold

An indication of whether legal hold is enabled.

Has Dedup Copy

An indication of whether the storage policy is associated with a deduplicated storage policy copy.

Has Snap Copy

An indication of whether the storage policy has a snapshot copy.

An indication of whether the data encryption option is enabled.

Combine to N Streams

The number of data streams from this storage policy that can be backed up concurrently to the same media.

Multiplexing Factor

An indication of whether the Multiplexing Factor option is enabled.

The global deduplication policy that is associated with the storage policy.

Block Size (KB)

The data block size that is configured for the deduplication process.

Oldest Object Time (Days)

The number of days when a unique data block becomes too old and can no longer be used for deduplication in new data protection jobs.

Deduplication Options

An indication of whether deduplication is performed on the CommServe computer or the client computer.

Compression with Dedupe

An indication of whether software compression is enabled.

Use Blocks in Old Stores

An indication of whether the storage policy is configured to use blocks in old stores.
